Hi! My name is Tina Cole, I am married to a wonderful man named Randy. We live in Port Orchard WA. My husband has retired from the navy back in 2005. We have a set of grown twins, a girl and boy, who now reside in Kentucky. My passion for reborning, started accidentally. I just went online, to see how children's skin looks on photos, because I am a protrait, and mural artist by trade. I also do holiday windows upon request, and cartooning on the side.
I've always been amazed with babies and children, in their precious innocence, and wide eyed wonder. When I was a small child myself, I found myself sketching babies. At the tender age of seven I sketched a nativity scene, and my family could not believe such a young child could draw something so complicated, yet so detailed. I later joined the Navy, where I worked as an illustrator draftsman, and did numerous paintings commisioned to the pediatric's ward at Naval Hospital in Barber's Point Hawaii. These paintings I created, depicted children in different situations as playing on the beach, or having ice cream together.
I have done a mural, of King Neptune and his team of sea horses, at a local restaurant, in this town. When I finally started reborning dolls, I was magically hooked! I generated my own unique style, in skin texture, coloring of the skin tones, and shading. I love turning a plain vinyl doll into a spectacular piece of art, and making them look like living infants.
But most of all, I like watching people's reactions, as they marvel at the adorable baby they think they are seeing and holding.
